server-side, straight-up django was the quickest way to get something working. but a fluid composition environment required no page refreshes and lots of client-side smarts. so, with much javascripting and websocketing, the composer becomes a single-page app. the tunes can pile up, you can filter out the ones you don’t like, you can copy and paste from a generated tune to prime the next, etc…
